The City of Brigantine has announced the online sale of beach tags for the upcoming 2024 Season. In a partnership with Jersey Cape Tags, the online sale will offer seasonal tags at the pre-season discounted rate of $20.00, plus a small shipping fee. Tags will be shipped directly to customers.
This initiative is part of the City’s mission to upgrade and modernize processes. Brigantine Mayor Vince Sera stated “Residents and visitors are looking for convenience. Buying tags online saves travel time and eliminates the need to wait in long lines at the Beach Fee office.”
For the first time in quite a few years, Brigantine offered a holiday version of their 2024 tag. Sales of the holiday tag were surprisingly high, with over 1,000 tags sold.
City Manager Tiger Platt attributes the success of the holiday tag to the convenience of ordering online, and the design, which featured a festively decorated sailboat, with presents, stockings and an evergreen tree.
The design of the regular seasonal tag, includes a drawing of surfboards and a sea turtle on the beach. The image was selected through a contest for students in the Brigantine Community School.
Brigantine plans to make changes to parking permits as well. ParkMobile is a smart parking solution which provides a convenient way to purchase a seasonal or daily pass for the municipal beach parking lots.
Once the program is instituted, customers can go to the ParkMobile site to purchase a parking permit, which is linked through their license plate.
This eliminates the need to purchase parking permits at the Beach Fee Office, and there will be no need to affix permit stickers to vehicles.
The City of Brigantine Beach Fee Office is located at 265 42nd Street.
Office hours are subject to change. Please call the office to confirm hours of operation, prior to visiting. Beaches are operational from Mid-June through Labor Day, 2024.
